Conspiracy versus Divine Plan

Fill your bowl to the brim and it will spill. Keep sharpening your knife and it will blunt. Chase after money and security and your heart will never unclench. Care about people’s approval and you will be their prisoner. Do your work, then step back. The only path to serenity

(Tao Teh Ching)

Stop trying to control. Let go of fixed plans and concepts, and the world will govern itself. The more prohibitions you have, the less virtuous people will be. The more weapons you have, the less secure people will be. The more subsidies you have, the less self-reliant people will be. Therefore the Master says: I let go of the law, and people become honest. I let go of economics, and people become prosperous. I let go of religion, and people become serene. I let go of all desire for the common good, and the good becomes common as grass.

(Tao Teh Ching)

I have to admit I am not very well versed on Conspiracy Theories – there are so many of them and they are regularly evolving, becoming more intricate and nuanced, the stories being fleshed out. But I have watched enough of the documentaries to know the general gist of the thing. And when I watch/read these theories I often wonder where the concept of the perfect unfolding of a Divine Plan comes into the picture. I’m not referring here to the everyday, mundane political and economic shenanigans where un-examined greed, and the drive for power at all costs motivate those who are temporarily in power to influence laws and regulations to ensure that their grimy hands are not prised from their stash of filthy lucre. Why not? Because I reckon they are just doing what the species has been doing ever since we first learned how to store more than we needed thus giving rise to the dualities of covetousness and want, profit and loss, greed and need. They are just following baser human instincts and these can be examined and eliminated. In those cases we usually just have to follow the money to find the truth, and it’s not terribly hard work to understand what goes on there. I am more referring to an idea that behind the whole vast picture of our life here on earth there is a plot of powerful entities or elites ( Jews, Freemasons, Rothschilds, Reptilian Races, Royal families, Vatican, a shadowy Illuminati, and so on and so forth) who operate in some coherent, premeditated way to enslave the peoples of earth to a specific agenda.

Now, this is perfectly possible. I simply do not know. And certainly the ”truth” as presented by the mass media is funneled through interest groups and often leaves us misinformed and misguided. BUT – if one studies esoteric knowledge there is always the prevailing idea that energy unfolds in a systematic, inherently meaningful way – this can be understood mathematically, if a concept of ”god” does not suit – the realisation of the sacred geometry in every atom. There is a logic to the unfolding of consciousness. There is meaning behind everything – value, intrinsic goodness though it may not be immediately apparent. In most of these teachings and paths, God or Source or Oneness manifested Itself so that all parts of that manifestation might experience the perfect Oneness.

”It is the Godhead that has become these two to enjoy Its [own] bliss.”

“That which is Below corresponds to that which is Above, and that which is Above corresponds to that which is Below, to accomplish the miracle of the One Thing.”

You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here. And whether or not it is clear to you, no doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. Therefore be at peace with God, whatever you conceive Him to be, and whatever your labors and aspirations, in the noisy confusion of life keep peace with your soul. With all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy.

(Max Ehrmann)

If there is Truth beyond what is apparent to our eyes, then should we not presume that great Truth is sophisticated and  meaningful – that we are not trapped by Chaos, or malevolent forces? We see the world as we are. And even if such forces exist in an organised conspiracy is that not part of the natural order of things? Are they not playing their parts in the whole story of the evolution of matter towards Pure consciousness, and should they not be LOVED for playing their parts? If the reptiles are here, we should embrace them. They are part of us. Even if they function to make us shun more the world of appearances, is that not perfect in itself? Either this world is a perfect manifestation of God, or an imperfect manifestation, a Valley of Tears – but both can be reconciled in the journey of the soul. So, either interpretation works. And both can be accepted and loved for what they are. If we are in a Fall, on our way back to Awakening, then the  ”other”, the ”enemy” is the most useful person we could meet.

Empty your mind of all thoughts. Let your heart be at peace. Watch the turmoil of beings, but contemplate their return. Each separate being in the universe returns to the common source.

(Tao Teh Ching)

To my mind Awakening is different than having the scales ripped off your eyes by theorists who tell stories of a cabal and an eternal prison. These stories may very well be true, I cannot say either way, but they are such a limited truth, and give rise to fear and resentment and anger. Even if they are simply bubble-gum for the mind, an entertainment, they are a distraction from the path, because they hold our attention to separation. We have entered their arena, and by resisting we co-operate. We have not learned to stop the world. Of course, we must act in the world – it is inevitable. And useful. We should give our energy to good causes. Love absorbs and transforms contraction.

Entanglement in a conspiracy might just consume all that vital energy that could be used more is a quote from Adyashanti.

”True transformation always comes from the inside. It comes from awakening. We come to see that the outside world is nothing but an expression of the inside…….if as a culture, as a species, we continue to dwell in a divided state of consciousness, we will continue to manifest division. But each of us that comes into the natural, simple, undivided state is making a contribution to all beings….This is the promise of awakening. It’s not only a personal promise for oneself, but a promise for consciousness itself, and therefore for all beings. It’s the promise of nondivision, of unity, and of the world that may arise out of that……It’s the inheritance of everybody.”

These are just passing ideas – I am not attached one way or the other – but am interested to know what others think…

Form here is only emptiness,
emptiness only form.
Form is no other than emptiness,
emptiness no other than form.

Feeling, thought, and choice,
consciousness itself,
are the same as this.

Dharmas here are empty,
all are the primal void.
None are born or die.
Nor are they stained or pure,
nor do they wax or wane.

No ignorance or end of it
nor all that comes of ignorance:
no withering, no death,
no end of them.

Nor is there pain or cause of pain
or cease in pain or noble path
to lead from pain.
Not even wisdom to attain,
attainment too is emptiness.

Gate, gate, paragate, parasamgate, Bhodi svaha!

(“Gone, gone, gone beyond, completely gone beyond, enlightenment, so be it!”)

(The Heart Sutra)

Generally just Being. Nothing in particular, no claims to fame. I like gardening and the sea, nature, art in all forms from poetry to films and everything in between, and being in the company of my family.

''I am all pervasive. I am without any attributes, and without any form. I have neither attachment to the world, nor to liberation. I have no wishes for anything because I am everything, everywhere, every time, always in equilibrium. I am indeed, That eternal knowing and bliss, Shiva, love and pure consciousness.''
